In partnership with the Hamilton, Butler, Clermont and Warren County Boards of MR/DD, Ohio Valley Goodwill was proud to be part of the 2009 Summer Adventures for All Kids Expo, held Saturday March 7th at the Tri-County Mall. The annual Kids Expo features more than 50 different service provider organizations that offer a diverse array of different activities and programs designed to appeal to children and young adults. Goodwill’s CARE (Center for Advocacy, Recreation and Education) program is often a popular choice for students making the transition from school to work. 2009 marks the 4th year that Ohio Valley Goodwill has been a featured exhibitor in the annual event which allows Goodwill representatives to outreach to a large number of area families. “We often have the opportunity to talk to hundreds of different people during the Expo about the programs and services that Goodwill has to offer,” said Sharon Hannon, Marketing Specialist. The 2009 Kids Expo was once again a popular destination for area families as they visited with Goodwill representatives to discuss future opportunities for their off-spring. “The move from school to work is a very emotional time for everyone involved and at Goodwill, we pride ourselves on our ability to help make the transition as smooth as possible,” said Leslie McCurley, Senior Manager.
