Pick-up by Our Local Hauling Partner (Fee based)

This priority service is provided by College Hunks Hauling Junk, which charges a fee based on the overall amount of items being collected. There is a discount for customers who mention Goodwill. This service includes additional benefits such as the removal of items from anywhere inside your property to be taken to Goodwill, as well as the removal of junk and items Goodwill cannot accept. Donors will receive a discount off the regular pricing. Your donation is still tax-deductible when using this service. Call 1-800-825-7819 to schedule your pick-up today.

ReSupply - home pickup service

Ohio Valley Goodwill is pleased to announce a new vendor partnership with ReSupply for home pickup service. ReSupply is a veteran owned and operated software and logistics company. Donors pay a small fee and can book pickups one of three ways:

Via the ” Donation Pickup” option within the Goodwill phone system

Via the ReSupply website

Haulers will arrive on the requested pickup date and take all of the items that the donor wants to donate.

ReSupply’s system will automatically email the donor an electronic tax receipt.

Tax benefits for donating to Goodwill

Thank you so much for your generous donation to Ohio Valley Goodwill. Your donation makes it possible for Goodwill to provide skill training and employment services for people with disabilities and our nation’s veterans.

Please read this important notice regarding vehicle donation to Goodwill.

When you donate to Goodwill at an Attended Donation Center or at a store you will be provided with a receipt for your tax-deductible contribution. We suggest making an itemized list if you plan to claim a tax benefit. Goodwill will also provide a Fair Market Value sheet that you can use as a guide to determine the value of the items. The assessment of donation value for tax purposes is the responsibility of the donor. Questions regarding a tax benefit should be directed to a tax professional, the IRS website, or by calling 1-800-829-1040.

There are some items that are large, awkward, or unsafe to have donated at Attended Donation Centers. If possible, we ask that these items be donated at a Goodwill store during store hours.

Goodwill appreciates all donations; however, at times we may not accept an item due to its condition, or more often, due to EPA regulations that require special handling and processing. Costs associated with disposing of severely damaged items or items which require special handling to meet EPA regulations, i.e. removing freon from refrigerators, can be substantial and reduce financial support for our service programs.

*Due to the high cost of disposal, we no longer accept tube style televisions and CRT computer monitors. We will gladly accept your donations of working flat screen televisions and flat screen computer monitors. A few places that may take your old televisions and computer monitors include Best Buy, Cleanlites Recycling, STS and Cobalt.
