This year marks the 107-year anniversary of our organization and the retirement of Mr. Joseph Byrum. I have had the privilege of working with Joe through the previous three years in my role as Chief Operating Officer and am humbled by the opportunity to continue his efforts.
Mr. Byrum has served this organization and the community as President for more than forty-five years. Under his leadership, the organization provided meaningful and impactful services to tens of thousands of homeless veterans and individuals with developmental disabilities in their pursuit of personal independence.
I have served the Goodwill movement in the Sandusky, Ohio and Austin, Texas communities for twenty-five years prior to moving to Cincinnati and am honored to have been selected as the next President and CEO of Ohio Valley Goodwill Industries.
We remain optimistic for the future and to a year filled with opportunity, promise and relentless commitment to our mission. We look forward to strengthening existing partnerships and will explore opportunities that expand collaborations and services with other impactful community organizations.
We are so grateful for our community partners and their long-time support. We celebrate our program participants, families and volunteers who we serve throughout
our community. We are thankful for those who shop our stores, our generous donors, volunteers and the remarkable teams of Goodwill employees who support our award-winning programs and services.
Thank you for your on-going commitment to Ohio Valley Goodwill and our mission of service. We look forward to working in partnership with all of you in this New Year.
Sincerely,
Mark Hiemstra
President and CEO
