Ohio Valley Goodwill Hosts Wellness Fair!

Ohio Valley Goodwill’s main campus was a beehive of activity of Thursday, April 4th as the organization was pleased to host its first-ever Wellness Fair event. Planned and coordinated by Health and Wellness Director, Lila Logan and the Health Services team in partnership with the HR team, the premiere Wellness Fair event was designed to offer employees and program participants the opportunity to find out about a variety of community resources to assist with enhancing their personal quality of life. The day-long event was structured to allow employees and program participants to be able to fully engage with extended breaks and lunch times. More than 300 individuals took advantage of the occasion to learn about the many services available in the Greater Cincinnati community.

Featured vendors and exhibitors included the following:

• 513 Relief Bus: Stop by this bus for services addressing job and family services, legal assist, medical and mental health resources and more.
• Free Store Foodbank: The largest provider of food and services related to food security in the Cincinnati area.
• The Healing Center:  Provider on the Metro Now busline that provides food and clothing, Info on FREE vision clinics and more!
• Community Action Agency : Tax filing assistance, housing and utility relief services, childcare resources, food access and MORE.
• Glenwood Behavioral: Mental health and addiction services.
• Curalinc : For mental health services, substance use support, legal and financial consultations.
• VA services : For Whole Health and aromatherapy.
• Metro : for transport updates and new information on transportation programming in your area.
• First Financial Bank : For credit repair education session, financial services, and specialized banking products.
• ShareFax : For credit union services and financial materials.
• Strategic Benefits : Have you recently had a change in your Medicaid/Medicare or health benefits?  Would you like to know more about how to use the Goodwill Health plan?  Stop by to talk directly to a benefit rep!

Ohio Valley Goodwill is grateful to the many vendors, volunteers and exhibitors for their support and involvement in this first-time event and looks forward to making it an annual tradition moving forward. Additionally, the organization’s team will be evaluating the possibility of opening the event to the public in the future.
