Ohio Valley Goodwill Board Chair Honored as Nonprofit Board Executive of the Year!
Team Goodwill was delighted to be on hand for the 14th annual Medical Mutual Pillar Award for Community Service sponsored by Smart Business Magazine on Thursday, January 18th. Held at the Duke Energy Center, the prestigious award honors businesses of all types that make outstanding contributions to their community. Its purpose is to encourage a charitable environment and demonstrate the ties between the for-profit and nonprofit worlds. Mr. Bill Courtney, Chairman of Goodwill’s Board of Directors was selected as a recipient for the Nonprofit Board Executive of the Year award in recognition of his service to the Goodwill mission.
More than 150 guests and honorees were on hand to celebrate the Pillar Awards and Goodwill CEO, Mark Hiemstra, was honored to present the Nonprofit Board Executive of the Year award to Mr. Courtney during the event.

Mr. Courtney accepted the Pillar award and a pre-recorded video was shown to the assembled audience which explained Ohio Valley Goodwill’s proud century of service to the Greater Cincinnati community and the thousands of people whose lives have been positively impacted. Courtney noted the ongoing critical importance of the for-profit and nonprofit business communities to work collaboratively into the future to benefit all of the citizens of Greater Cincinnati and its overall, economic and social well-being.
