Goodwill’s Summer Youth Services Preparing for 2023 Season!
Ohio Valley Goodwill’s very popular Summer Youth services will kick off June 13th for a three week program designed to offer a paid work experience which teaches participants job skills, appropriate behaviors and safety awareness in a work setting. The service is offered in a group format with a Job Coach supporting up to 3 individuals as they learn new job tasks and earn a paycheck while working in the Greater Cincinnati community. The first session will take place from June 13th through June 29th and is offered on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursdays from 9:30 am until 2 pm. The second session begins July 10th through August 10th and will take place from 9:30 am until 3 pm Monday through Thursday. Program participants will have the opportunity to work in Goodwill’s network of retail stores including Beechmont, Cheviot, Fairfield, West Chester, Lebanon, Loveland and Woodlawn. Additionally, individuals will have the opportunity to work in the organization’s donations processing facility at its Tri-County headquarters.
This is the 12th year that Ohio Valley Goodwill has offered Summer Youth Services in partnership with sponsoring organization, Opportunities for Ohioans with Disabilities and the program has proven to be very successful over the years, often resulting in students being hired by employers following their Summer Youth experience. Goodwill is looking forward to working with this year’s students and helping facilitate their journey towards successful employment following graduation.
