November is here, which means the ghosts and ghouls have finished their frights, and now it’s time to usher in the warmth of turkeys and togetherness.
But before you swap your holiday décor, be sure to have a plan, or else you’ll end up with a cornucopia of confusion next year!
Before you start packing up your Halloween decorations, clear the way for storage. Keep in mind how much space you have available, and choose how you’ll make the best use of the room you have. For example, while most items will likely fit in clear totes, remember which items had to be hung or needed an unusually tall or wide place in order to be tucked away for next year.
Don’t forget any new items you may have added to your holiday décor this year! You just might need more places to put things this season.
If you have decorations that either didn’t make the cut for Halloween this year or some that you just don’t love anymore, don’t store them. You’ll just create a mess for yourself next season.
As you’re packing up your favorite Frankenstein to make way for Thanksgiving, start a pile for donating to Goodwill. That way you’ll save shelf space and have a clean slate next October.
