The morning of April 11th began with a bit of fanfare at Ohio Valley Goodwill’s corporate headquarters when a truck from Furniture Fair pulled up to the Front Lobby. The company was delivering a truck full of Eddie Bears as a donation to the non-profit organization. Public Information Officer, Michael Flannery was on hand to greet the Furniture Fair team and thank them for their generous donation.
As the 39 boxes were unloaded at the Goodwill loading dock of its Contributed Goods building, the Goodwill team was informed that they contained more than 700 Eddie Bears. Furniture Fair Marketing Director, Craig Daniels indicated that the reason they chose to make a donation to Goodwill is because the company has a commitment to improving their community. Furniture Fair was familiar with Goodwill’s mission of helping people with disabilities and our nation’s veterans to thrive and wanted to do what they could to support that important mission.
The 700 Eddie Bears will be shared with all 19 Goodwill store locations and will be available for sale over the next several weeks. Visit your local Goodwill retail store and check out the Eddie Bears in the coming days. For a complete list of all 19 Goodwill stores, visit www.cincinnatigoodwilll.org/shop
Our most sincere gratitude to Furniture Fair for their generous donation of Eddie Bears to Ohio Valley Goodwill!
