Ohio Valley Goodwill Industries is pleased to announce the organization is now the official Donation partner with the University of Cincinnati for Residence Hall Move Out 2021. Goodwill will be providing donation containers to nine residence halls from Friday, April 16th through Thursday, May 6th to enable students to recycle items responsibly as they move out for the year. Goodwill is working with the UC Office of Sustainability, UC Housing, and Resident Education and Development on this important environmental initiative.
It should be noted that Ohio Valley Goodwill has a longstanding partnership with Miami University and the city of Oxford on their annual ShareFest event which is designed as a recycling and re-use event which takes place in May each year. As part of a movement for environmental stewardship for more than a century, Ohio Valley Goodwill Industries helps to recycle more than 50,000,000 pounds of donated product annually, diverting it from area landfills.
” We are delighted to have the opportunity to partner with the University of Cincinnati on the 2021 Residence Hall Move Out event,” said Jeff Eastham, Operations Director for Goodwill. ” Goodwill is always pleased to have the chance to help students recycle appropriately and in turn, donated items are sold in our network of retail stores to support our mission of service in the Greater Cincinnati community. Goodwill’s mission is to help people with disabilities and our nation’s veterans to get jobs and attain personal success. Donations contribute to that mission and help our environment at the same time- a win-win for everyone,” added Eastham.
