Saturday, May 16th marked the official re-opening of four more Goodwill retail store locations. The Batesville, Hamilton, Oakley and Oxford retail stores re-opened to much excitement as shoppers eagerly streamed into the newly cleaned and re-stocked settings. The four newly re-opened stores joined the eight previously opened locations which include: Beechmont, Cheviot, Fairfield, Harrsion, Lebanon, Loveland, Tri-County and West Chester. For a complete list of all 12 open retail stores, visit www.goodwillbargains.com.
Like many other businesses, the organization was closed during the mandated shut-down in response to the Coronavirus from late March until May 12th when it began its phased re-opening plan. Goodwill chose to re-open four stores at a time to make sure that its retail team had time to prepare for the gradual re-openings and to do so in the safest possible way. During the closure, the Goodwill team thoroughly deep cleaned its 18 retail stores and organized new Spring and Summer fashions for display when the stores were able to re-open. Shoppers will notice that Goodwill team members will be adhering to all health and safety recommendations from the Department of Health including the wearing of face masks, use of gloves, on-going wipe down of carts and all high touch surfaces, social distancing and everything needed to ensure the safety of our guests and our team members. The official re-opening on May 16th and throughout the month of May will be the launch of the ” Celebrate You!” campaign which will focus on thanking shoppers for their support during the long closure of the organization’s network of retail stores.
“We are just so pleased by the enthusiastic response we’ve received to the store re-openings so far,” said Jeff Eastham, Operations Director. “Our team has worked really hard to make sure that our stores not only looked good in terms of inventory and displays but also, most importantly, on making sure that all locations were deep cleaned in accordance with Ohio Department of Health guidelines. We are grateful to our shoppers for their support as we work together to resume more normal business operations.”
The organization will be re-opening its Northern Kentucky stores on May 20th in accordance with Governor Beshear’s orders as well as its Outlet store in Tri-County. All retail stores and donation centers are operating from 10 am until 6 pm, seven days a week at the moment. Hours may be expanded in the future as circumstances change.
