Amid the chaos surrounding COVID19, Earth Day has somehow faded silently into the background; however, it remains significantly essential. This Wednesday, we will celebrate the 50th anniversary of Earth Day. While there will be no significant public events, concerts, or parades, there are many online events you can tune into to commemorate the day.
What else can you do to celebrate? Well, here are three valuable ways you can show Mother Earth a little love.
Buy environmentally safe cleaning products ““ Yes, Coronavirus has us all out of our regular routines as grocery shopping has been reduced to online ordering then pick up. You can still support Earth Day by purchasing earth-friendly goods such as laundry detergent, dishwashing liquid, and use washable dishcloths instead of disposable paper towels.
Conserve energy and water ““ Since we are all in the house, the likelihood of using more energy and water is extremely high. But we can still be Mother Earth-conscious when we choose to use energy-efficient (LED) bulbs, open up the window blinds to let in the natural light, unplug appliances when they are not in use, and avoid letting the water run when you brush your teeth.
