Ohio Valley Goodwill was honored to be included in the 2020 Book of Lists celebration presented by the Cincinnati Business Courier. The 2019-20 Book of Lists notes comprehensive rankings of nearly every major company in significant industries across the region. Held at the beautiful Renaissance Cincinnati downtown hotel on the evening of January 30th, the event welcomed hundreds of local business leaders. One of the Gold Sponsors of the 2020 event was the Flying Pig Marathon which has a new name, “Pig Works”. The mission of Pig Works will emphasize community outreach, corporate sponsorship and philanthropic efforts. Ohio Valley Goodwill has worked collaboratively with the Flying Pig Marathon and its team for many years on a variety of community races and events including as the Title Sponsor of “PigAbilities”; an inclusive event for athletes of all abilities; which will take place on May 2nd this year. In the Book of Lists, Ohio Valley Goodwill is ranked #18 in the category of “Largest 501(C)(3) Nonprofits,” by the Business Courier.
Goodwill team representatives, Michael Flannery, Public Information Officer, and Sharon Hannon, Marketing Director were on hand at the Book of Lists reception and enjoyed the opportunity to talk with other business leaders in the Greater Cincinnati community. For more than a century, Ohio Valley Goodwill has been providing employment and training programs for citizens with disabilities and our nation’s veterans and does so in part, through revenue generated through its network of 18 retail stores and 30 donation centers. “Goodwill is very grateful to the Greater Cincinnati community for their generous support which has made our mission of service possible through the years,” said Michael Flannery, Public Information Officer.
