Ohio Valley Goodwill Celebrates 15 Years of CARE!

Ohio Valley Goodwill is delighted to be celebrating the 15th anniversary of its award- winning Center for Advocacy, Recreation and Education (CARE) program on Tuesday, September 24th at the organization’s corporate headquarters located at 10600 Springfield Pike in the village of Woodlawn. Taking place from 1:00 pm-3:00 pm, the Open House is being held to welcome interested friends, supporters and others to celebrate the personal enrichment program which serves more than 70 individuals weekly. Hallmarks of the CARE program are its diverse and plentiful opportunities for community involvement and participation offering more than 20 different options on a weekly basis. These daily and weekly outings include engagement in social activities as well as community volunteering as reflected by the expressed interests of program participants. The CARE program was honored to be the recipient of the Thomas H. Kidd Award of Excellence from long-time partner, Hamilton County Developmental Disabilities Services (HCDDS) and now offers participation opportunities for individuals sponsored through four County Boards of Developmental Disabilities in Ohio (Hamilton, Butler, Clermont and Warren).  Ohio Valley Goodwill cordially invites all of its partners and friends to celebrate its milestone anniversary of service on September 24th.

The CARE ambassadors who have kindly agreed to help us spread the word of CARE and its upcoming Open House celebration are Eddie Morgan, Kristine Agoston and Colin Harbaugh. The three are long-time CARE participants and are so enthusiastic about the program that they have been featured many times over the years in TV commercials and magazine stories about the impact of the program on their lives and their support of the Goodwill mission.
