Ohio Valley Goodwill representatives, Sharon Hannon, Marketing Director and Alisha Tyler, Marketing Specialist were pleased to attend the Ohio Success Awards on Friday, March 15th at the Ohio Statehouse. The first time event was sponsored by Ohio Business Magazine and was designed to honor businesses in the for-profit and non-profit world for business success. More than 50 businesses were honored during the luncheon presentation which were singled out due to growth and positive impact on their communities. Ohio Valley Goodwill has been serving the Greater Cincinnati community for more than a century and has expanded its programs and services and supporting business lines exponentially over that time. Last year alone, the agency served more than 3500 people with disabilities and our nation’s veterans and helped 907 to get jobs in the larger community.
The Ohio Success Awards were held at the Ohio Statehouse in Columbus and the Goodwill team took advantage of the occasion to introduce the organization and its mission to newly elected State Representatives Scott Lipps and Sara Carruthers. Meeting with their legislative aides during the day long visit, the Goodwill representatives provided the aides with a complete tour packet of critical information about the organization’s mission and services as well as legislative priorities moving forward. Each Representative was extended a cordial invitation to visit the organization’s corporate headquarters or satellite locations in the coming months to see first-hand Goodwill’s mission in action. Goodwill looks forward to their upcoming visits in the coming months. To find out more about the organization’s programs and services, visit www.cincinnatigoodwill.org/services. Ohio Valley Goodwill is grateful to Ohio Business Magazine for this prestigious honor and to the legislative team members for Representatives Lipps and Carruthers for meeting with our team.
