Ohio Valley Goodwill’s corporate headquarters in the village of Woodlawn was the site for a Voter Education forum held on Friday, November 2nd in partnership with the League of Women Voters. Approximately 35 individuals served by the organization along with staff team members attended the event to learn more about the upcoming election on November 6th including important issues on the ballot and major candidates. The League of Women Voters is a non-partisan organization and has partnered with Goodwill for many years on educating voters on how to participate in the election process. “As part of our on-going mission to promote and support community engagement and involvement of the people we serve, Goodwill takes its commitment to provide voter education events prior to elections very seriously,” said Lisa Schneider, Asst. Director of DD Services. “We want the individuals we support to understand that their vote matters and how to participate in the upcoming election.”
Ohio Valley Goodwill has always prided itself on its tradition of providing the information and educational opportunities people need in order to become fully involved in the larger community and emphasizing the importance of each person’s individual voice. Please join Goodwill in encouraging everyone to VOTE on election day on Tuesday, November 6th. Our thanks to the League of Women Voters for their on-going collaboration on helping to promote voter education for all Ohio citizens.
