Ohio Valley Goodwill was proud to be a sponsor of the 2018 Wiffle Waffle Walk in support of the Butler County Board of Developmental Disabilities on Saturday, September 15th. Held at Joe Nuxhall Miracle League Fields in Fairfield, the day-long event was well attended by enthusiastic wiffle ball teams, fans and families. This year’s event also featured Graeter’s ice cream cones which was a major hit with all attendees on the very hot day. The festivities included a wiffle ball tournament, a one mile walk, a silent auction, costume contest as well as engaging activities offered by the Cincinnati Art Museum for everyone in attendance.
Goodwill is a member of Friends of Citizens with Disabilities; the political action committee serving the Butler County Board of DD and has been a partner and supporter for many years. “Ohio Valley Goodwill is always pleased to have the opportunity to support Butler DD and their important services for people with disabilities,” said Sharon Hannon, Marketing Director. Funds from the special events hosted by Friends of Citizens are used to support future levy campaigns which provide the critical funding needed for services.
