Goodwill Launches “Bring Good Home” Ad Council Campaign!

Ohio Valley Goodwill in partnership with Goodwill Industries International (GII) and Ad Council are delighted to present a new community outreach and education campaign known as “Bring Good Home.” The new campaign is  an outgrowth of the original “Donate Stuff. Create Jobs” campaign which launched in 2013. The new effort is designed to highlight the benefit of shopping at Goodwill, both in terms of the unique items one can find and the impact on the community.

The new campaign, created by pro bono agency, Digitas, builds on the success of “Donate Stuff. Create Jobs” by encouraging viewers to shop at their local Goodwill – creating the revenue that allows Goodwill organizations to provide career support services in communities across the country as well as the Greater Cincinnati area. The public service announcements are designed to show people that their seemingly small purchase at a Goodwill store actually fuels local job training, vocational assessment and employment placement opportunities right in their local community, adding to the neighborhood fabric, and giving the whole town reason to cheer.

Goodwill Industries International is a global social services enterprise and the leading nonprofit provider of job placement and training programs as well as career support services in the United States. To create these programs, a network of 161 local Goodwill organizations sell donated clothes and other household items in more than 3300 stores and online through shopgoodwill.com. Goodwill uses the revenue earned from the sale of these goods to offer job skills training and placement as well as other community-based services for individuals with disabilities and other barriers to employment.

Locally, Ohio Valley Goodwill has been serving the Greater Cincinnati community for more than 100 years and provides services to more than 3400 individuals annually. Last year alone, Ohio Valley Goodwill helped 917 people to obtain jobs in the Greater Cincinnati community. The organization operates 17 retail stores in the area and has 32 attended donation centers- all of which generate the vital revenue needed to provide these critical services for people with disabilities and our nation’s veterans.
