Team Goodwill Steps Up to the Plate for Butler DD!

Saturday, October 14th marked the occasion of the 2017 Wiffle Ball Tournament and Walk in support of Goodwill partner, Butler DD. Held once again at the Joe Nuxhall Miracle League Fields, the weather was perfect for the spirited day of friendly competition between teams and cheering fans. This year for the first time, “Team Goodwill” took the field to join in the fun.

By the end of the game, “Team Goodwill”  had fun, did a great job and Wizard of Oz won the costume contest.

Ohio Valley Goodwill is a long time partner of the Butler County Board of Developmental Disabilities (Butler DD), and provides training and employment services for many of the people the Board serves. The organization is also a member of the planning committee for the Fall fundraiser. The schedule for this year’s event included a Walk event at 9 am followed by the Wiffle Ball Games at 10:30 am. Another popular feature this year was the many extravagant gift baskets available through the silent auction aspect of this year’s festivities.

Proceeds from the Wiffle Ball Tournament and Walk benefit ” Friends of Citizens with Disabilities,” the political action committee serving the Butler County Board of Developmental Disabilities. Ohio Valley Goodwill was delighted to part of the 2017 Wiffle Ball Tournament and Walk and “Team Goodwill” loved making their big debut!
