Ohio Valley Goodwill Exhibitor for Disability Awareness Events Sponsored by Tri-Health!

The month of October marks the celebration of National Disability Employment Awareness Month and Ohio Valley Goodwill was pleased to be included as an exhibitor at two community-based education and outreach events held October 2nd and 4th in partnership with local hospitals. The two Disability Awareness Fair events were held at Good Samaritan Hospital and Bethesda North Hospital and sponsored by TriHealth.
As one of the largest Employment and Training Centers in Southwest Ohio, Goodwill helps more than 1000 people with disabilities and others with challenges to employment each year to get jobs in the Greater Cincinnati community.

The purpose of the Disability Awareness Fairs was to demonstrate that all workplaces should be welcoming of the talents of all people, including people with disabilities. In addition, employing people with disabilities is a critical part of building an inclusive community and strong economy. Lara Kumler, Development Director, noted, that Tri-State was pleased to host the events and added “We are delighted to join with organizations like Goodwill in raising awareness about disability and celebrating the many and varied contributions of America’s workers, patients and families with disabilities at our Fairs.”

As a featured exhibitor at the first-time Tri-State events, Ohio Valley Goodwill was pleased to share information about its’ comprehensive employment and training services and to help raise awareness about the benefits of hiring employees with disabilities.
