Goodwill Industries Service Guild To Hold Spring Mini – Fest!

The first week in May marks the occasion of the celebration of National Goodwill Week and this year’s festivities will focus around Ohio Valley Goodwill’s 100th anniversary, participation in community donation drives and as is traditional, the hosting of the annual Spring Mini-Fest at the organization’s Tri-County headquarters store. Goodwill’s Volunteer Service Guild will be holding its annual Spring Mini-Fest at the Tri-County Store located at 10600 Springfield Pike in Woodlawn on Friday, May 6th and Saturday, May 7th . Hours for the festival will be from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm.

A variety of activities are planned for the festival including:
“¢ Homemade Baked Goods and Candy
“¢ Elegant Junque and Rummage Items
“¢ Jewelry
“¢ Wonderful Gift Items from the Treasure Island Gift Shop
“¢ Books, Tapes and CD’s
“¢ Hot dogs, chips and drinks at lunch time on Friday & Saturday

The Goodwill Service Guild operates the Treasure Island Gift Shop inside the Woodlawn retail store. The mission of the Service Guild is to help make the public aware of Goodwill’s vocational training and job placement efforts and to support the organization’s mission. This year’s Spring Mini-Fest takes place during the 100th anniversary celebration of Ohio Valley Goodwill and serves to close the National Goodwill Week celebration. All proceeds from the festival will help to support Goodwill’s programs and services for men and women with disabilities.

Ohio Valley Goodwill is grateful to the Goodwill Service Guild for their more than 80 year tradition of supporting the organization and its mission of service to the Greater Cincinnati community. It is due in part to their dedication and generosity over the years that Ohio Valley Goodwill has grown to be one of the largest employment and training centers in Southwest Ohio. It is through the on-going support of the Greater Cincinnati community that Goodwill is able to continue its critical mission of putting people to work after 100 years.
