Goodwill Veterans Team Runs in 2015 DAV 5K!

Christie Watts and Shane Satterfield with Ohio Valley Goodwill’s Veterans Services team were enthusiastic participants in the 2015 DAV 5K race on November 7th. The DAV 5K is a run, walk, roll and motorcycle ride presented by DAV (Disabled American Veterans) to honor the brave men and women who have sacrificed so much to protect our freedom.

Thousands of runners joined together again this year in three different cities to honor our nation’s heroes this Veterans Day weekend including Cincinnati.

Funds raised go to DAV, a nonprofit organization that helps more than 1 million veterans in life-changing ways each year. Ohio Valley Goodwill has been providing services for veterans for more than twenty-five years helping them to become fully re-integrated into their home communities. Goodwill has helped thousands of veterans with employment assistance, permanent housing needs, as well as on-going case management support to the veteran and their families; enabling veterans to achieve personal success.

Christie and Shane are proud members of the Goodwill Veterans Services team and participate in the DAV 5K event on a regular basis. Our thanks to Christie and Shane for their patriotism and support of our nation’s heroes!
