Saturday, August 22nd was a beautiful day in the Northern Kentucky community of Hebron and served as the perfect backdrop for Ohio Valley Goodwill’s first ever donation drive partnership with Remke Markets. The event served as the result of an initial collaboration between Goodwill and Purses 4 a Purpose, a fund-raiser in support of the Aubrey Rose Foundation.
“Ohio Valley Goodwill is grateful to Remke Markets for their promotion and support of this first-time donation drive event in Hebron which resulted in the collection of more than 5400 pounds of items in support of our vital employment and training programs for our nation’s veterans and people with disabilities,” said Jeff Eastham, Operations Director.
“Donations to Goodwill support the broad range of services we provide to assist men and women with disabilities and our nation’s veterans in their vocational pursuits. The simple act of clearing clutter and donating items helps create jobs right here in the Greater Cincinnati community,” said Michael Flannery, Public Information Officer.
For almost 100 years, Ohio Valley Goodwill has been serving the Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky communities helping thousands of military veterans and their families as well as people with disabilities to receive skill training, job placement assistance as well as housing support. It is through generous community donations that this century-old mission of service is possible.
Our most sincere thanks to Remke Markets for their support of this first-ever Goodwill Donation Drive and to the Northern Kentucky community for their generous donations.
