Ohio Valley Goodwill joins the Greater Cincinnati community in mourning the loss of Hamilton County Commissioner Todd Portune. A long-time advocate for people with disabilities, Portune personally delivered a proclamation from the Hamilton County Commissioners in 2016, formally recognizing Ohio Valley Goodwill’s 100th anniversary of service to the Greater Cincinnati community. In part the proclamation read:
” Whereas, the Ohio Valley Goodwill has upheld its mission to enhance the dignity and quality of life of individuals, family, and community and whereas, the Hamilton County Board of County Commissioners recognizes the commitment of the Ohio Valley Goodwill by holding true to their values of respect, stewardship, ethics, learning and innovation; and whereas as Ohio Valley Goodwill Industries celebrates 100 years of success and moves into a new century of service, Goodwill’s prominence in the community and reputation as an outstanding provider of services will continue to grow”¦”
Ohio Valley Goodwill was honored that Mr. Portune personally presented the proclamation on behalf of the Hamilton County Board of County Commissioners and was grateful for his longstanding advocacy on behalf of citizens with disabilities.
