As the official Donation Sponsor for the 2022 ShareFest Donation Drive in partnership with Miami University and the city of Oxford, Ohio Valley Goodwill was pleased with the enthusiastic response from the Butler County community and Miami students. Headquartered at Chestnut Fields in uptown Oxford, the ShareFest Donation event was held from May 12th through May 17th and offered students and local residents the opportunity to recycle donated items responsibly and to support local non-profit organizations. Once again, home pick-ups were not possible this year and donors had to drive to Chestnut Fields in order to make their donations. As in previous years, students and community members demonstrated their commitment to responsible recycling and sustainability by donating more than 111,960 pounds in 6 trailers during this year’s drive. ShareFest is an annual donation drive that prevents usable items from going to the landfill by directing them to social service agencies and nonprofit organizations around the Oxford area.
As the official Donation Sponsor for 2022, Ohio Valley Goodwill provided four donation trailers on site as well as a donation team throughout the event.
ShareFest 2022 donations will benefit Talawanda Oxford Pantry and Social Services (TOPSS) and the Open Hands Food Pantry, Butler County Success, One Way Farm, New Life Furniture Bank, Thread Up Oxford as well as Ohio Valley Goodwill.
” As a member of the Oxford business community, Goodwill is very pleased to have been the Official Donation Sponsor of the ShareFest Donation Drive this year,” said Jeff Eastham, Vice President of Contributed Goods. ” We were delighted to see the generous response of the students and the larger Oxford community.”
The Oxford Goodwill store is located at 203 South Locust Street (close to the Oxford library) and offers a selection of fashion items, books and collectibles and has been well received by the community. The Oxford Goodwill store also features a drive-thru donation center for the convenience of local donors.
