The 2019 ShareFest Donation Drive was an incredible success this year as Ohio Valley Goodwill joined with the City of Oxford and Miami University and local beneficiary groups to collect donations from college students and community members as they moved out of dorms and housing. ShareFest is an annual donation drive that prevents usable items from going to the landfill by directing them to social service agencies and nonprofit organizations around the Oxford area. Taking place from May 15th through 21st this year at Chestnut Fields in uptown Oxford, Ohio Valley Goodwill provides four trailers on site as well as a donation team throughout the event.
This year’s ShareFest donation drive is one of the most successful ever based on the record-setting initial collection results of 165,940 pounds donated. ” Ohio Valley Goodwill is delighted to be a participating agency and sponsor of the annual ShareFest donation event,” said Jeff Eastham, Goodwill Operations Director.
ShareFest 2019 donations will benefit Butler County Success, Habitat for Humanity of Greater Cincinnati, Oxford Community Choice Food Pantry, Open Hands Food Pantry, BCESC Success Program, Talawanda Social Work Team and Ohio Valley Goodwill.
” As a newer business in the Oxford community, Goodwill is very pleased to once again be the Donation Sponsor of the ShareFest Donation Drive for the fifth year in a row,” said Jeff Eastham, Operations Director. The Oxford Goodwill store is located at 203 South Locust Street (close to the Oxford library) and offers a selection of fashion items, books and collectibles and has been well received by the community. The Oxford Goodwill store also features a drive-thru donation center for the convenience of local donors. During the ShareFest donation drive, the Goodwill donation center will be filled with the generous donations provided by students and community members.
