2017 PigAbilities Event and Flying Pig Marathon Expo and Goodwill Pop-Up Shop Just Days Away!

Ohio Valley Goodwill and its team members are eagerly looking forward to the 2017 PigAbilities event taking place on Saturday, May 6th as part of the Flying Pig Marathon. As a first-time Title Sponsor, Goodwill is excited to see the participation of more than 200 athletes in this year’s big event. Team Goodwill this year is made up of more than 60 members and everyone is almost ready to fly!
PigAbilities is an empowering option for all ages and abilities and participants commit to going the distance by making healthy choices in their lives. The PigAbilities event takes place when there are fewer crowds, increased accessibility and more parking. On Saturday, May 6th participants will gather for a 1:00pm Start Time and walk, roll or stroll the final mile on the actual Flying Pig Marathon course! At the Finish Line each finisher will receive a PigAbilities medal to commemorate their achievement. Goodwill will also host a post-PigAbilities celebration tent at Yeatman’s Cove where participants will be congratulated and receive special goodies to commemorate this year’s exciting event.

In addition, Goodwill is also looking forward to the debut of its NEW and Improved ” Pig Pop-Up Shop” at the Flying Pig Expo on Friday, May 5th and Saturday, May 6th. With a larger display space, Goodwill will have an incredible selection of running and work-out gear for the whole family at remarkable prices! This year’s Flying Pig Marathon promises to be one of the most event-filled and fun ever with lots for athletes of all abilities to do.

Plan to join Ohio Valley Goodwill to celebrate this year’s Flying Pig Marathon on Friday, May 5th and Saturday, May 6th at the Expo at Duke Energy Center from 12 noon until 7 pm on Friday and 10 am until 7 pm on Saturday. Along with incredible running gear at unbeatable prices, Goodwill will also be offering the opportunity for race participants to donate outdated shoes and other items at the Pig Pop-Up Shop- Booth 459.
