2017 Goodwill Celebrity Golf Outing Ready to Tee Off on June 8th with a Little Help from our Friends!

Thursday, June 8th is the big day days and Ohio Valley Goodwill is very much looking forward to the 2017 Goodwill Celebrity Golf Outing featuring host, Joe Walter and co-chair Stephanie Mitchell. The best part is the event is made even more successful every year with the help of the organization’s wonderful friends and volunteers. For the past five years, long-time friend and partner, Hamilton County DD Services has provided volunteers to help out with the coverage of the Hole-in-One opportunities on the Glenview course, where players have a chance to win a three year lease on a brand new car sponsored by Superior Automotive Group.

In addition, outing guests always look forward to socializing with the CARE ambassadors, who support the annual fundraising event. More than 20 volunteers from the organization’s Center for Advocacy, Recreation and Education (CARE) program come over to the course to greet players and welcome them to the Golf Outing as well as help out with games, goody bags and enjoy lunch in the newly renovated Glenview celebration tent for the first time this year.

For the past 17 years, Goodwill has also been helped by the organization’s Goodwill Service Guild; a group of volunteers that assist with morning registration, check-in and greeting players, celebrities and guests. “Goodwill is so grateful to our amazing Guild volunteers who give so much of their time to support our mission in the community,” said Doug Ostholthoff, Golf Outing Coordinator.

This year, Ohio Valley Goodwill’s players will be joined by 38 celebrity guests including former Bengals, Reds as well as media personalities. The day long event on Thursday, June 8th promises to be spectacular this year with perfect weather, an newly enhanced location and all kinds of special features planned by the Goodwill team- with a little help from our friends.
