Now that the calendar is moving ever closer to the start of November, at Ohio Valley Goodwill our thoughts turn to the celebration of the 105th Thanksgiving Day Race. For the 5th year in a row, Goodwill will be partnering with the Race on hosting one of the Largest Coat Donation Drives in the country on Thanksgiving morning!
Goodwill will be sponsoring Donation Stations at both the Start of the Race at Paul Brown Stadium as well as at Mile 2 so that our wonderful runners can strip off their unneeded cold weather gear and share the warmth with others in our community.
Ohio Valley Goodwill is grateful to the Thanksgiving Day Race and the generous donors of Greater Cincinnati for their on-going support of our mission of service to the community. The best part is, it’s always so much fun! Look for our wonderful musicians and volunteers that will be cheering you on again this holiday season! Featured performers Mark Macomber and Michael Flannery will be inspiring racers with their drum solos this year at Mile 2 along with the cheers of our amazing Goodwill team! Last year, we collected more than 5000 pounds of coats and cold weather wear…Our goal this year in honor of our 5th year, is to break last year’s record!
Register today at www.thanksgivingdayrace.com for this memorable holiday tradition and remember to share your warmth by donating to Goodwill! Let’s Break Some Records Together!
