1st Annual Fit and Fun at Friendship Park, This Saturday
This Saturday, Ohio Valley Goodwill and CARA (Community Ambassadors Resource Alliance) are partnering to promote good health and create good times in Greater Cincinnati at the 1st Annual FIT and FUN at Friendship Park. Everyone is cordially invited to attend this FREE, family-friendly event from 10 am until 12 noon that features musical entertainment, and a half-mile FIT and FUN walk. The walk will be led by the CRS drumline, adding a musical touch to the afternoon excitement. Music will also be provided prior to the walk by Mark Macomber. Mark is also being honored as a CARA Champion after the walk along with CARA volunteers Karen Bruce and Even Rohrkemper, Sharon Hannon and Dee Zeigler. The day will conclude with a raffle featuring an amazing selection of baskets filled with everything you need to make your summer celebration the best ever! The ” Fit and Fun Walk” is part of the CARA group’s mission to enrich the fitness lives of individuals with disabilities in Hamilton County. As a founding member of the CARA group, Ohio Valley Goodwill is pleased to be a sponsor of this year’s community event and is proud of its long-time commitment towards helping to enrich the lives of individuals with disabilities.
Activities like Fit and Fun promote a healthy lifestyle and give the men and women we serve the opportunity to learn more about the importance of fitness in a family-friendly, festive setting in partnership with all members of the larger Greater Cincinnati community. Please join Ohio Valley Goodwill on Saturday, June 7th at Friendship Park at 10:00 am to celebrate ” Fun and Fitness” with the CARA Group and all of our friends. It will be a fabulously fun day with lots of FREE family-friendly activities to enjoy.
