Goodwill Looking Forward to Major Spring Events!

Ohio Valley Goodwill Industries is already looking forward to the Spring season and as promised at the beginning of the year, will be hosting a series of special events just perfect to commemorate the organization’s 100th anniversary of service this year. The first major event will take place on Thursday, March 17th, and will be the Grand Opening of a new retail store and Attended Donation Center. The new Goodwill store is located at 7773 Cincinnati-Dayton Road in West Chester. Goodwill will hold a gala ribbon-cutting ceremony at 8:45 am that morning and the center will officially open for customers at 9:00 am. Ohio Valley Goodwill is very excited to join the West Chester and Butler County business community. Everyone is cordially invited to join us for the ribbon-cutting on March 17th. The second major Spring event is the organization’s third annual Earth Day Electronics Recycling Celebration event which will take place on Sunday, April 24th at all soon-to-be 32 Goodwill locations in the Greater Cincinnati area. Being held from 11 am until 5 pm that day, the organization is hoping to collect 75,000 pounds of electronic items. This year’s Earth Day Donation drive is being held in partnership with Cohen Electronics Recycling, an E-Steward and R2 Certified recycler.

While we encourage the donations of computers and related electronic requirement, Goodwill is asking that donors not bring CRT’s or TV’s to this year’s donation event. “Goodwill is looking forward to the 2016 Earth Day Electronics Recycling Celebration and working with our wonderful donors to meet this year’s goal of 75,000 pounds of donated items,” said Jeff Eastham, Operations Director. And finally, in proud Goodwill tradition, the 16th annual Celebrity Golf Outing is taking place on Thursday, June 9th at the beautiful Glenview Golf Club. This year will be especially fun-filled as the planning committee is working hard on adding all kinds of bells and whistles in recognition of the organization’s century of service in the Greater Cincinnati community.
